Use the Modified Cobra to relieve tension in the upper back, while stabilizing the scapula. Assume a position on your stomach – with arms extended at the sides of the body, palms up toward ceiling, Retract and depress the shoulder blades. Elevate your chest off the ground and reach fingertips toward toes to assist with maintaining scapular depression (keeping the shoulder blades in a comfortable downward position.) Try 5-10 repetitions – returning the chest back to the ground. Remember, you should always consult your physician before beginning any exercise, diet, or nutritional supplementation program.
