Most collagen products are vague about source and type. Collagen Peptides is grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine collagen, hydrolyzed for fast absorption, and standardized to Type I and Type III — the two collagen types that make up most of your skin, hair, nails, tendons, and bone matrix. 10g (2 scoops) per serving, 9g of protein, zero carbs, zero sugar, no artificial dyes or sweeteners.
Unflavored — mixes cleanly into coffee, smoothies, oats, or warm beverages. 350g per bag = 35 servings.
- ✓10g hydrolyzed Type I & III collagen per serving — supports normal skin, hair, and nail health
- ✓Grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine source — no proprietary blends, no fillers, no artificial dyes or sweeteners
- ✓Type III is concentrated in joints, tendons, and connective tissue — supports normal joint mobility alongside Type I's skin profile
- ✓9g protein, 0g carbs, 0g sugar, 35 calories per serving — fits any macros, no flavor, mixes into anything

Is this right for you?
- ✓You want a daily collagen with named source (grass-fed, pasture-raised) and types (I & III) — not a generic "collagen blend"
- ✓You're building daily protein toward 1.6–2.2g/kg and want a flavor-free option that mixes into anything
- ✓You're focused on skin, hair, nail, or joint support as part of healthy aging
- ✓You'll commit to 8–12 weeks of consistent daily use — collagen response builds over time
- ✗You're vegan or vegetarian — collagen is bovine-sourced (no plant-based equivalent exists; "collagen-builder" plant blends are different products)
- ✗You have a beef or bovine-protein sensitivity
- ✗You're pregnant or nursing — consult your physician before use
- ✗You expect overnight skin or joint changes — collagen response is measured in weeks of consistent intake
How to use it
Mix 10g (2 scoops) into your favorite beverage — coffee, tea, smoothie, oats, or warm water.
Important: collagen does not mix well in cold water. Stir into warm liquid first, then add ice if you want it cold.
One bag = 35 servings. Take daily — collagen response builds over 8–12 weeks of consistent intake.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Type I and Type III collagen, and why both?
Type I is the most abundant collagen in the body — concentrated in skin, hair, nails, tendons, and bone matrix. Type III is concentrated in joints, blood vessels, and the soft connective tissue around organs. Most "marine" collagens are Type I only; this product gives you both, which is closer to the natural ratio in human tissue. Type II (used in some joint-focused products) comes from cartilage and is a separate category.
How is this different from the protein in whey?
Different amino-acid profile, different job. Whey Isolate is a complete protein with high leucine content — built for muscle protein synthesis. Collagen is rich in glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline — the amino acids your body uses to build connective tissue. Most people training seriously use both: whey for muscle, collagen for skin/hair/joints. Collagen alone is not a complete protein for muscle building.
How long until I notice a difference in skin or nails?
Research on consistent collagen intake typically measures outcomes over 8–12 weeks. Nail strength tends to show first; skin elasticity and hydration markers follow. Take it daily, build the habit, and reassess at the 8-week mark. There's no acute "feel it today" effect.
Can I stack this with other MaxWell supplements?
Yes. Collagen Peptides pairs well with Whey Isolate (complete protein for muscle), Magnesium Glycinate (sleep and recovery — collagen synthesis happens during deep sleep), and Omega-3 Complex (anti-inflammatory support for joints and skin). No known interactions with other MaxWell supplements.
